Purpose
The Sustainability Projects Hub (S/HUB) is an aggregator for projects aimed at Sustainability, addressing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) subjects, developed by single organizations or partnerships at a National, European or International (including non EU countries) level.
The S/HUB mission is to promote the sustainability, through a holistic approach, and help to disseminate these projects and their results, contributing for a larger usage of their outputs, tools, good practices and lessons learned.
Now or Never
Sustainability is vital for the planet and for our future. For that, a change is needed and each of us has to change our habits first. Having a more sustainable planet takes teamwork. We all have to be agents of change. Are we going to change the world together?
Environmental
Addresses the organizations current environmental impact, as well as their ability to mitigate future environmental risks.
Social
Refers to the organizations relationships with their stakeholders, who could be employees, customers, suppliers, and the local community.
Governance
How the organizations are led and managed. Commitment to good governance, codes of ethics and conduct, transparency , and integrity.
UN Sustainable Development Goals
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a call for action by all countries poor, rich and middle income to promote prosperity while protecting the planet . They recognize that ending poverty must go hand in hand with strategies that build economic growth and address a range of social needs including education , health , social protection , and job opportunities , while tackling climate change and environmental protection (Source:UN).
